The release of the easter attack Commission report came to news headlines recently with accusations from various personnel and defence rhetorics from the government side.

The media Minister Vijitha Herath stated yesterday (17th Oct, 2024) that the government is prepared to release the reports of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) into the Easter Sunday attacks at the appropriate time. This statement came as a reply to the various parties demanding the release of the report recently.

Meanwhile, Namal Rajapaksa, a former member of the parliament, said that the government is acting blindly and deafly, without any transparency.

His tweet is as follows:

"The release of the Commission report on the Easter Sunday attacks has spiraled out of control. The govt. is yet to locate the missing pages of the report while there are claims that there are two more unpublished findings."

"The govt. is acting blind & deaf over releasing the reports with all talk but no action. It is only right that answers are given by the govt. rather than speculations being rife."
