Levan S. Dzhagaryan, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Sri Lanka, paid a courtesy call on President Anura Kumara Dissanayake this morning (01) at the Presidential Secretariat.

During the meeting, Ambassador Dzhagaryan conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to President Dissanayake on his recent election victory and delivered a personal message from Russian President Vladimir Putin.

President Putin’s message expressed his optimism for the future of bilateral relations between the two nations, stating that he expects the longstanding partnership to grow even stronger under President Dissanayake’s leadership.

The discussion between the two dignitaries centred around furthering the already robust ties between Sri Lanka and Russia. Both sides highlighted the importance of enhancing cooperation in key sectors such as trade, investment, culture, and education. They underscored the mutual benefits of strengthening these collaborations, which have been a cornerstone of the diplomatic relationship between the two nations for decades.
