The opposition wants to get hold of all parliamentary committees, claims director general of community affairs at the presidential secretariat Rajith Keerth Tennakoon.
It is like opening a mixer packet and putting the cashew pieces into the mouth, he told ‘Suliya’ programme of Siyatha channel last night (05).
Tennakoon said the opposition should understand that it cannot be given the best out of all parliamentary committees.
“Chairmen of parliamentary committee are elected by members’ votes. If there is no agreement by the government, the opposition will not get chairmanship of any of these committees," he said.
