A Tamil political group, the EPRLF, alleges a continuation of the government’s animosity towards Tamils even amidst all the socioeconomic woes.
Its secretary Sivasakthi Anandan told a function in Batticaloa recently that the Tamil polity should demand in one voice for the full implementation of the Indo-Lanka accord as a political solution for his community.
He stressed that India should extend conditional support to Sri Lanka when playing a decisive role in this matter.
Anandan added that freedom and dignity should be ensured for Tamils in realization of the aspirations of his colleagues who laid down their lives 40 years ago on behalf of their community.
