Keith D. Bernard assumed duties as the new chairman of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) today.
He was appointed by the Minister of Ports, Shipping and Aviation Nimal Siripala de Silva.
An accountant by profession, he counts over 30 years in the corporate, not for profit and public sectors with wide ranging experience covering manufacturing, construction, telecom, finance, management consulting etc. at senior management and CEO level with local as well as international companies and agencies.
Keith Bernard has a MBA from the Aberdeen Business School of the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, UK and a Masters Degree in Economics from the University of Colombo.
He is a recipient of the distinguished Douglas Gourley award of the Aberdeen Business School for demonstrating Initiative, Endeavour and Creativity and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
