The Japanese government has donated 150 motorcycles, 74 vans and minibuses and 115 pieces of surveillance equipment for the use of the Sri Lanka Police Department.
The donation was symbolically handed over to president Ranil Wickremesinghe at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday (03).
Japanese minister of state for foreign affairs Takei Shunsuke presented the documents related to the delivery of the equipment to the President.
Following an inspection of these vehicles, the president engaged in cordial conversation with the Japanese state foreign minister.
