A Sri Lankan woman who had gone missing following the earthquake in Turkey has been found dead in the debris of her home.
The 64-year-old’s body was identified by her daughter yesterday (13), said Sri Lankan ambassador Hashanthi Dissanayake.
Originally from Galagedara, she had been living in Turkey with her Turkish husband and daughter for around 20 years.
The ambassador also said 16 Sri Lankans had been living in the areas affected by the earthquake that has killed at least 25,000 people.
