Even the opposition is without a policy-based solution to the country’s economic and political crisis, said the Frontline Socialist
Party.
FSP’s education secretary Pubudu Jayagoda told the media yesterday (12) the people were not prepared to “sign an empty cheque” in view of the past promises for solutions left unfulfilled after election victory.
The FSP is contesting the local government polls under the ‘hammer’ symbol, and its policy manifesto titled ‘Aluth Mawatha’ is due to be unveiled this morning.
The party will use the election campaign to create a policy dialogue and to build a people’s movement to implement such policies, after defeating the government attempts to postpone the LG polls, said
Jayagoda.
He urged the people to demand all parties to reveal their policies. The launch of ‘Aluth Mawatha’ takes place at Sri Lanka Foundation starting at 10.00 am.
