A SriLankan Airlines flight from Guangzhou last night (01) brought 117 Chinese tourists to Sri Lanka for the first time after the Covid-19 pandemic.
Ministers Harin Fernando and Tharaka Balasuriya and Chinese ambassador in Colombo Qi Zhenhong were among those who were present at the airport to welcome the group of tourists.
From April 01, SriLankan Airlines and China Eastern Airlines will operate nine flights per week between Colombo and the Chinese cities of Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou.
