The NPP is organizing a protest in Milan, Italy today (05) to demand the holding of local government polls back in Sri Lanka.
A march is due to begin at 3.00 pm from Piazza Lima.
Participants will converge at Stazione Centrale for a protest rally against the postponement of the election.
Election monitors organize all-party conference in Colombo
Meanwhile, local election monitors are planning to hold an all-party conference to protest the putting off of the LG polls and to safeguard people’s supremacy.
Operations chief of CMEV, D.M. Dissanayake said the meeting of political parties, election observers and civil society groups would take place on March 09 in Colombo.
