The Government Printer says it needs 30 days to complete all printing work relating to the local government polls.
A senior spokesman for the institution has told Neth radio that they needed the funds to proceed with the work.
The Government Printer has received only Rs. 40 million so far out of an estimated total cost of Rs. 533 million.
However, it has already completed printing worth nearly Rs. 150 million, including almost 700,000 postal ballot papers, or 75 per cent of the requirement.
The finance ministry is yet to respond to a request for funds, while the police need to know, three days in advance, the specific printing dates for the provision of security.
