The SLPP has the strongest political mechanism in Sri Lankan politics, claimed its MP Namal Rajapaksa.
Speaking to party activists in Polonnaruwa yesterday (03), he accused the opposition of steadily changing the public mindset that both his party and himself were thieves.
Former president Maithripala Sirisena and incumbent Ranil Wickremesinghe have admitted in speeches to parliament that both had wasted time by answering false allegations against them, said Rajapaksa.
Since he was innocent of similar accusations, he would fully support a proposed draft bill to prevent fraud and corruption, added the SLPP MP.
