President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has appointed 28 Cabinet Ministers and 40 State Ministers today. The swearing-in ceremony of the Cabinet was held at the Magul Maduwa of the
Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy.
Namal Rajapaksa has been given the Cabinet portfolio of Sports and Youth Affairs. He is also the youngest to hold the Cabinet portfolio of Sports.
President's Counsel Al Sabri has been appointed as the Minister of Justice.
The Cabinet structure has been designed with a special focus on national security, economic development, infrastructure development, education, health and sports.
