The country has been able to come out of bankruptcy and to strengthen the economy once again within a very short period under the leadership and guidance of president Ranil Wickremesinghe, said state minister of defence Premitha Bandara Tennakoon.
Speaking to the media yesterday (27), Tennakoon said Sri Lanka could be an example in that regard to other countries.
This victory in the economic front is a massive one equal to the war victory, which should be commended by all, said the state minister.
Proper financial management, control and discipline, safeguards for the banking system, strengthening the rupee, political stability and national security enabled a revival of the economy, he added.
