Winning elections by dividing rival parties is an outdated strategy that is valid no more, said national organizer of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Namal Rajapaksa.
He urged that the worst defeat suffered by the United National Party be kept in mind, noting that trying to divide parties will bring certain defeat only.
"Instead of dividing parties, what should be done is to rise up strongly in unity," he added.
