National Organizer of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Namal Rajapaksa claims none of his party’s trade union affiliates have waged struggles to render the people helpless.
"They do not inconvenience the public, but fight on to protect and develop state assets and bring in investors for development work," he said.
The MP was speaking at a party event at Hyde Park in Colombo yesterday (11).
Rajapaksa said trade unions and the government should have a proper understanding of each other and the government should listen to the unions irrespective of politics.
