Two Muslim and Tamil MPs – Rishad Bathiudeen and Selvam Adaikalanathan - were seen on stage with opposition leader Sajith Premadasa when he visited Roman Catholic Tamil College at Devanpiddi in Mannar to handover a smart classroom for the school.
Speaking on the occasion, Premadasa promised a SJB-led regime would provide copies of the constitution in the three language to all schools for children to know about the country’s supreme law, democracy and the three pillars of democracy at an early age.
He noted that the constitution should be made part of the school curriculum under educational reforms.
Such measures would enable the people to take intelligent decisions, he added.
