A majority of members of the Committee on Public Finance (COPF) has rejected a report submitted by its chairman Dr. Harsha de Silva into to the handover of online issuance of visa for tourists to VFS Global.
It is learnt that 16 out of its 27 members have sent a letter to speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena against the report submitted to the House.
They claim that it does not present the standpoint of the Department of Immigration and Emigration in a fair manner.
