Opposition leader Sajith Premadasa has spoken about creating one million new entrepreneurs in order for the country’s revival.
That should begin from the school by giving priority to business management, accounting and economics in the curricula, he said after handing over smart classroom equipment and dictionaries for Hemamali Vidyalaya at Ganemulla in Gampaha.
He promised to create an environment in which every student is able to rise up on his own after earning a degree, instead of expecting jobs in the state sector.
As a subject, IT would be given human and physical resources needed to teach it from grade one to grade 13 in the English language too, he added.
