A set of updated national guidelines on the use of antimicrobials was launched at the Health Ministry yesterday (31),
Health secretary Dr. Palitha Mahipala was the chief guest on the occasion.
Later, the guidelines were handed over to health minister Ramesh Pathirana.
Also present at the launch of the “Empirical and Prophylactic use of Antimicrobials, National Guidelines – Sri Lanka - Second Edition-2024” were director general of health services Dr. Asela Gunawardena and other ministry officials.
