The Sri Lanka Mahajana Party will support President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the upcoming presidential election, said its leader, MP Asanka Nawaratne.
The SLMP was involved with Wimal Weerawansa, Udaya Gammanpila and the CPSL in recent months.
Nawaratne was elected on the SLPP ticket at the last general election as a MP for Kurunegala.
The SLPP was formed by former president Chandrika Kumaratunga and her husband, the late Wijaya Kumaratunga.
