The Sri Lanka men’s 400 metres relay team has set its sights for qualification to take part in the World Athletic Championship in Budapest, Hungary in August.
Following their record-breaking performance at the just concluded Asian Athletic Championship, they are ranked 12th out of 16 countries.
Anura Darshana, Rajitha Rajakaruna, Pabasara Keshan and Kalinga Kumara clocked three minutes and 1.56 seconds for the second best international timing this year.
The Sri Lankan relay team last qualified for a World Athletic Championship way back in 2013 in Moscow.
