Dambulla Aura beat Colombo Strikers by 50 runs in a LPL 2023 game last night (12) to return to the top of the points table.
It was their fifth win in seven games.
Batting first, Dambulla were in trouble at 46 for four, but Benjamin McDermott (69) and Alex Ross (52) shared 102 runs in 9.5 overs for the fifth wicket.
They reached 166 for five, as Matheesha Pathirana claimed two for 36 in bowling for Colombo.
Replying, Colombo were bowled out for 116 in 19.4 overs.
Hasan Ali claimed three for 16, while Binura Fernando, Noor Ahmed and Dushan Hemantha shared two wickets each in bowling for the winners.
