The first ever Karma Fight League (KFL) tournament in Sri Lanka concluded at The Taprobane in Colombo recently.
A combination of karate, Muay Thai and boxing, this combat sport follows the K1 rules and is fully supervised by AFSO Sri Lanka that is regulated by All Fight System Organization.

The first combatants in the men’s category were Kavindu ‘Phoenix’ Rasanjaya and ‘Dreamer’ Gayan Pradeep.
Following a keen fight by both, the end came with Rasanjaya knocking out his opponent.
The women’s category started with Pavani ‘Yukio’ De Lanka facing off Divya ‘Chaos’ Pixie.
Divya was in control from the beginning and ended up the winner.
DJ events kept the spectators entertained all the more during the KFL tournament.
The third game was between Gihan ‘Sonic’ Prasanna and ‘CJ’ Christine Jayasath.
It was closely contested and the referee declared Prasanna the winner.
Hasith ‘Blaze’ Madushanka and Mohammed ‘Shakir’ entered the ring thereafter.
An unexpected blow decided the game in favour of Mohammed.
Then came the main events - Hansana ‘Bubbles’ Balasuriya meeting The Undefeated Nimesha Kumari.
Kumari was able to continue her unbeaten record.
Next up were Sri Lanka’s Kumudu Prasanna and his Indian challenger Shahbas.
Prasanna won the game.
The tournament climaxed with the entry of Brian ‘The Iron’ Choltan and Gevin ‘The Berserker’ Linden.
Three rounds could not find a winner and an extra round was called.
Linden won in the end.
